Hi have a old acer 1522LMI that starts to overheat and i gues it have alot of dust inside it, but when i tryed to open the computor to clean it up, i could not. Any one have a expiriens with that computor and know how to open it?
Another qeustion, i bought a new 120gb 5400rpm sumsung IDE harddrive to it to replace a old slow 40gb 4200rpm but when i put it in and try to install windows on it, the computor just shut downs after 2 min or so of instalation, but it works fine with the old harddrive, any ideas what to do?

Opening your notebook should be performed like surgery. Remember what you unscrewed first, so that you can replace it last. Bag or divide all the nuts separately so there isn't any confusion when you are replacing the parts back together. Remember, its easy to dissembles, but remembering how everything went back is the harder part. It's not that hard, though.
For your second question, is the hard drive being recognised by BIOS? If so, I don't see why you are having that problem. I would return the hard drive to the store, since it seems faulty. -
The harddrive found by the bios, and work fine as a extrernal harddrive in separate box, that why i found it all very strange.
On the computor i did uncrew every thing i could found, but still cant open the computor, that why i woundering if someone els had this computor before and could guide me on what i could do.
