    Acer Aspire 1640 + or - DVD re-writer

    Hi can somesone help this complete numpty (me). I have a Acer Aspire 1640 and just need to know 2 things. The CD tray says CD/DVD Re-writer. Can someone tell me which DVD RW's this takes and also if you can recommend decent DVD burning software, preferably the free type, but don't mind paying if I have to.
