Hi all,
Can somebody please tell me why it is that I keep losing the connection to my bt home hub. The internet or should i say the wifi orange button on the front after some time just goes out and i lose the connection. If i press the button and then press it again to basically disable and reenable it all comes back on again. And this happens quite a few times a day and is very frustrating.
Has any body else experienced this and does anybody know what the problem might be.
Thank you...![]()

sounds like the adapter may be going into powersaving move
under device manager check all options till you find the one that talks of powersaving mode (or something like that) but it's usually a feature found in the DEVICE MANAGER,, under properties for the device in question -
I will look thank you...

Changed everything that I can and it has made no difference, i still keep losing the connection. Im wondering if there is a newer or older driver that works better.
-
who is the manufacturer of the WIFI adapter??
i can send you a link to the drivers.... also what OS are you using on this PC? -
wifi adapter is intel and the os is xp sp2
-
which intel wifi 395 or 495.... need MODEL # to get correct driver i think but those 2 may use the same driver... i'll go check
-
wlan 802.11 (Intel) 9.0.1.9 thats what driver im using for the card downloaded from the acer website but imsving windows control the environment if you know what i mean (I have the tick on). 220BG does that help?
Do you think sp3 might help? -
ARE YOU SURE THE MODEL ISNT 2200BG they have a driver for that!!!
XP HOME OR PRO???
download/install SP3 now...if it causes problems it creates it's own restore point so you can do a system restore to the point just prior to installing SP3.
but i have yet to see a PC personally that SP3 caused problems with.
now some old software i have seen need a little modification,,, but i highly doubt you are running anything that falls into that slim little % of software.
do the sp3 and i'll have you some driver links to try -
Ive found 9.0.4.39 from the intel website. I remember having downloaded and used this before now before I formatted the machine and started again. Just remembered it. Im sure it cured it last time, we will have to see.
Thank you for all your help and your time, fingers crossed!! -
