You might have to hit a series of keys to get it to goto the TV. Something like Fn+ a function key or something (Fn+F4 on my notebook). You may also need a 7 pin SVideo cable for it to be in color.

Yes there are 2 things to take care of

First see if you are having a Seven pin svideo cable ( it dosnt work on 4 pin )

Second you need to turn you computer off and plug it, now switch it on and you will get display on both TV and on LCD

    hope this helps

Does the 7 pin s video handle just the video or does it also handle audio, if not then what do you need for the tv to get the audio as well as the picture?

S-Video just handles video. The 7 pins are just for the seperation of the signals for color and chroma & luminance (think that's how you spell it) & possibly some other signals.

To get audio, what you need is a 3.5mm mini jack to RCA/composite style adapter cable. They sell these all over the place, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Something like the link below, but doesn't have to be retractable. Just plu it into your headphone out jack on your notebook and the audio in (red=right & white=left) on your TV.

I believe the combination of keys to switch to a TV on an Acer is FN + F5. That's what it is on my Acer anyway.

I think that will work fine, if you get a 7- to 4-pin cable. Never seen those, don't know how hard it would be to find.
