Everything I've read concerning this computer is really positive. I haven't had a chance to try one out yet myself...though personally, it is where my heart seems to be set right now too. I'm curious, where did you find that price, and what currency was it in? The best deal i've seen on canadian websites is around 2400, but i'm not sure if that's where you referring by "i won't be buying it in the u.s." [ :)]

thanks for the input and the post

    hi,
actually, i'm buying it in Kazakhstan....(u might ask: where the heck is that???, i know), near china....it's in dollars. This price sounds weird to me too, since they dont have modern laptops over here, and the old ones are so expensive...so, luckily, i've found a company which ships laptops from Holland. Since mine is an individual order, i've convinced them to include this model in their order, which comes in a whole container...i guess that's why it is so cheap. However, it's actual price in europe, as far as they have told me, is $2100 or $2150 US dollars....can't remeber exactly.

I've just visited Acer's official website and in the specification comparison they say that the Aspire 2000 series comes with 256 MB integrated RAM only! Somebody, please, tell me this is not true, that's it's just a mistake...[:0]
