    Hi all,

I'm planing on buying the Acer Aspire 2025. But I would like to know form where I can get it in the US/Canada? Also, what about the heat of this laptop? Is it cool, quiet?

    Thanks,
    Blacko

I believe the 2020 series has been discontinued in North America. You can still get the in Europe/UK, as my cousin just got a 2026 a few weeks ago. He's loving the unit, no complains what-so-ever. My assumption is that it's cool and quiet.

Also, what is the difference between the Aspire 2026 and tha 2023?
Moreover, does the RAM under the keyboard can be removed?

    Thanks,
    Blacko

    Difference between the 2023 and 2026 id the 23 is a 1.6Ghz Pentium-M and the 2026 is a 2.0Ghz Pentium-M accoring to Acer UK, http://www.acer.co.uk/acereuro/page4.do?dau22.oid=4921&UserCtxParam=0&GroupCtxParam=0&dctx1=17&ctx1=UK&crc=66313880

I am also trying to find a place where I can get the 2026WLMi in the U.S. I don't think it's discontinued here, I called Acer U.S. about 2026WLMi availability and, according to them, they have never been available here nor do they have plans to bring them in.
The 2012WLMi was discontinued here a couple of months ago and now it looks like the 1681WLMi has been also, less retailers carry it.. really disheartening.

To me The the 2026WLMI is the best mix of Desktop Replacement / Mobility right now. I also think Acer on the whole has the best laptops going as far as build quality, features, and price. I was very impressed with the 1681WLMi. Yet it seems the product line in the U.S. just keeps getting thinner.. are they pulling out??

The 2026WLMI is the only laptop I have found with what I am looking for namley:
    2.0Ghz Dothan Pentium-M
    Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB
    DDR333 Support
    15.4 WXGA

Good Luck, Let me know if you find a source.

I'm sure any company will ship to Canada as long as you pay for all the shipping charges, duties, taxes & customs/brokerage fees. Just do a search on Acer's UK site and it should give you a list of dealers that sell Acer notebooks.
