    i have been on acers onw site and updated my bios now my laptop wont turn on plz could eny one be nice and help me out its a acer aspire 2930 thank u

    to get help here you'll need to post in the correct forum. you *might* also get better help if you can be more descriptive about the problem.

    did your battery die during the update? did the update seem to work or did it fail? etc.

    i have just updated my bios on acer own site and now my laptop wont turn on i have look on the net for some insight in to this think i have flash it i hold the fn key and esc hit the power botton it comes on but dose nothing plz help me thank u

    Did the bios update complete, did the machine reboot during the update, more info needed.

    Also, and I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, next time you ask a question, use a more descriptive post title like "Acer 2930 failure after updating BIOS" etc. Please help me tells me nothing of what the post is about, so many who might know about BIOS crisis fixing won't look at it. Again, just a suggestion. Definitely look up BIOS Crisis disk.

    thank u just havnt been on enything like this before i have tryed crisi disc but havnt got a clue what it means or how to make the disc am so confused as it was working fine till i did the update apart from my dvd drive being missing thought this update would help but seemed to ov goosed my laptop up

    See here for instructions on how to do a BIOS recovery. That is assuming your laptop uses Phoenix BIOS which is the most common one in Acer notebooks.
    I've changed the title to fit the situation.
    Also please use proper English, not only using chat-lingo is not allowed but it's also rather hard to understand for some of us.

    can some plz exsplian to me if i can fix this i read the instrution on how to make a bios crisi disc but am still lost dont understand if i try to power my laptop up normaly it wont turn on or light up but if i press the fn and escape together then press the power up it starts to do something i think sping disc or hardrive am tottaly lost plz can enyone help me

    if u flashing bios under windows, copy extract your bios to flash disk and then press Fn+ESC and power button wait and dont turn off power, your notebook will restart... try it
