Just first want to say that I really enjoy the NBR forums and have used them many times as a guest to troubleshoot laptop problems for work. However, now I have an issue with my own personal laptop. It is an Acer Aspire 3002LCI (Acer 3000 series).

Lately the laptop has been acting up and I have to wiggle the adapter in order for the laptop to begin charging the battery. A quick google about the problem, and I now know that the DC power jack is a common problem in these particular models. I have purchased the required part, however I want to make sure that I disassemble the machine correctly. I noticed that ATG has helped several members with their Acers, and I was wondering if ATG or any other member could help me with my situation? Would anyone have the Acer Aspire 3000/3500/5000 service manual? I’m sure it would give me all the information I need for disassembly and assembly.

    Thank you in advance!

    Welcome to NBR.

Unfortunately posting service guide(s) link(s) is not allowed anymore, try to google it, I'm sure you'll be able to find it.
