    Hi
I'm new to this site and I have been browsing various forums for an answer to my problem.
Recently I must have picked up some sort of virus and my laptop went weird so I rebooted it using F10. Tried to diagnose in safe mode and also tried to recofigure back to last known good configuration to no avail. So in desperation I started the recovery process. Disk 1 -System disk loaded with no problem. Then I followed this with the Recovery CD's that came with the laptop. When the 3rd disk was loaded a message saying cannot open or create file came up. It just left me no option but to click OK
Now I can't even boot up. When I switch on I get the ACER logo and F2 to enter BIOS, then I get a black screen and it tells me that the NTLDR is missing press any key. every time a key is pressed the message repeats.
    Can anybody help me please?

When you are on the acer screen press ALT+F10, this should take you into acers recovery console. To access this make sure D2D Recovery is enabled in your bios.

This should enable you to do a fresh install straight from the hidden recovery partition.

Attempted this and everything was going well until the 3rd recovery disk was loaded. Message came up "fail in creating or opening a file" OK When the OK button was pressed the following message came up:cannot find file C:\preload.tag OK Clicking OK Cannot find file: X\preload.tag OK Clicking OK returns to main bootup screen which warns on a black screen NTLDR missing press any key. Pressing ny key does not do anything but keep returning to message.
