So i'm working on an Acer Aspire 3100 for a buddy and i guess what happened is that he was in the middle of re installing vista. Something happened and he went to turn it back on and now its asking for a bio's password and when it boots it just goes to a blank screen with a "_" . How can i flash the bios? I know i could remove the cmos battery but i cant seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated i really dont wanna send this thing into acer.

    Thanks

How convenient...asking about a BIOS password.

Well, guess what...those are in place to prevent easy theft of data...and we are not going to discuss bypassing BIOS passwords or any passwords here.
