I am hoping some one may be able to help me. My acer aspire 3680 is about 3 yrs old, runs on windows vista but i am having a power problem. The other day i went to turn it on, and i cannot get any power.
When I plug my ac adapter into the wall outlet, there is a green light that comes on on the adapter but as soon as I plug the adapter into my computer that green light goes out and I have no lights on my laptop. I have tried plugging the computer in with no battery and i still have the same issue with the light on the adapter.
I have tried wiggling around the cord into the computer to no avail, cannot seem to get power no matter what I do. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks in advance!

It could be your power supply has died.

Does the laptop work on battery only?

Can you try another power supply?

Also check the wall plug end of the power supply unit they sometimes work loose.

    Hope that helps.
