I did a search here on the site and couldn't get a good answer.
Laptop currently has a Celeron 420 SL8VZ (1.6/1m/533) in it.
I've read the T5600 works and I was planning on going that route but would like to know the best CPU I can install in this.
Any ideas?

It's inherently tricky because of the chipset used, the 940GML. It doesn't officially support the Core 2 Duo, and it's using Socket M which is a bit older.
However, if the T5600 works, then we could assume that it'll handle a 667 MHz FSB. If that's the case, the theoretical fastest CPU you could install would be the Core 2 Duo T7600 at 2.33 GHz.
