Does anyone know where I would be able to find recovery media and/or an eRecovery CD for an Acer Aspire 3690-2940? Thank you.

Ignore recovery media and borrow Vista DVD from someone.
All Vista DVDs were the same- which Vista activated depends on the product key.
So with the key that is on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop you will activate Vista Basic installed from any Windows Vista DVD
