I am new to this forum so appreciate your patience
I wanted to check to others that own 3810TZ. I own this computer. Mine has a broken LCD and I have it connected to a TV through HDMI. I am planning to use it as a media center but are running into a problem.
When the laptop goes to sleep, no device connected to the USB port can wake it up. This problem affects a wired USB keyboard, wired mouse or BT keyboard (through usb dongle). This problem happens regardless of the lid been opened or closed. The light under the mouse turns off so it appears the power to usb has been disabled.
I am able to wake up the laptop by using the laptop keyboard or touchpad.
I have played with the settings under power and the device power to no avail. The option to allow the device to wake up the PC is greyed out.
Would other owners comment whether this is a laptop limitation?
I couldnt find any option on BIOS to change this (in fact the BIOS is pretty limited)
