I have an Acer Aspire 4520 notebook with the config mentioned below...

    AMD Athlon64 X2 (TK-55) Processor @ 1.8 Ghz (Socket S1)
    2GB RAM (667Mhz) - Transcend
    160GB HDD (5400RPM SATA) - Hitachi
    DVD Burner

I was really under the impression that Acer makes junk computers but this notebook changed it all. It is an absolute value for every penny you pay for it.

But this time however Acer came out with a rock solid laptop but forgot to make 64-bit drivers for Windows Vista 64-bit ultimate users.

Well thats not the issue here. See I am thinking about a processor upgrade for my notebook and I found many options for Slot S1 that comes with this one. So just to double check I called up the Acer tech support to find whether this is an option, and they did say yes but they insist that I should not go for it because the cooling system that comes with the current processor will not be sufficient for the upgraded processor.

Well this really didnt make any sense for me. Could anyone help me with more info on this please?.... :)
