    Acer Aspire 4720-4825 losing internet connection periodically

    Any suggestions what I can check/modify to prevent this from happening? It may stay connected for hours, sometimes only minutes~~thanks for any help!

    Try doing a winsock fix or reset.

    that's a good start... if problems persist, post info about your OS version,, Network adapter, driver version,, and anything else you think that might help

    if you download the new drivers. choose to let the software handle your connection and then stop windows zero configaration in services.
    i use the broadcom software to run my connection as WZC was dropping the connection when it felt like it and at odd times.
    just thinking out load,
