My Aspire 4730Z has served me well into now but has an annoying problem.
Sometimes, when I'm plugged in, the power ring turns orange, and the laptop stops charging/switches to battery. If I simply unplug the power brick from the computer, and plug it back in, it goes back to normal.
What do you guys think the problem is? The power adapter, the battery, or something in the computer?
My problem here is that my computer is out of warranty and I don't want to start throwing money at it since it's not worth very much. I lean towards it not being the battery since it still holds a very good charge. Should I just replace the power adapter, or is this probably something in the computer?
Thanks.

One other thing to add, sometimes the power ring flashes between orange and yellow-orange.

Help please.

Did you try other battery and charger?
Try combining these two with one you got and try that... May be the charger isn`t giving enough power so its blinking...
Or may be the lighting diode is reaching its end time... -
I don't think the diode is the issue since the OS tells me that the computer is running on battery power at the same time that it's flashing orange.
