Im having a problem with my acer.. it says in the specs that i have an intel core i5-2430m 2.40GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.0GHz. But why cant i see any turbo application on my task manager, msconfig or even my device manager? im really confused right now. and when i try to install the turbo boost monitor from intel i get this message that my laptop doesnt have a processor with turbo boost technology in it.![]()

TurboBoost is a hardware feature so you don't need any application.
TB monitor was meant to let you see the value changed but at some point Intel gave up on it as it wasn't very accurate.
I don't remember if they relaunched it or not- long story short- it works fine and you don't need any additional apps to enable it. -
I just downloaded this application from the acer support downloads.. its called Turbo Boost Monitor_Intel_2.0.82.0_W7x64, it contains three files the turbomonitor setup, the pdf licence and a RemoveFactoryMode (VBScript Script File.) and for some reason i just 2x clicked the REmoveFactoryMode file then i installed the turbomonitor and it worked! idk what just happened, any idea why it worked? I now have the turbomonitor on my desktop and its peaking @ 2.40GHz on skyrim @ ultra settings on window mode. how can i max the turbo @ 3.0GHz?
