Aloha! I am unable to find a solution on these forums for my problem. I am also not all that tech savvy so be kind!

My Acer Aspire 4810tz is randomly freezing after 10 to 20 minutes of typical usage. Mouse doesn't work, and cannot reboot or do anything whatsoever. I can only reset the computer by manually shutting it down. Upon turning it on I only get "Windows did not shut down properly" but get no other error messages.

This has been occurring for only the past four days but seems to be getting more frequent. I am using Windows 7 and have had 0 problems with this laptop in the past two years. Of course its past warranty by two months.

Reading the forums I hear something about updating Drivers & BIOS but no one actually says that this actually works. And I am unsure how to even do that. I chatted w/ Acer support and they said to do a System Restore. Of course, the first and only solution to all computer problems from tech support. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!

    frustrated & thank you!

Check Windows log for something suspicious or errors that appeared around the time laptop freezed on you.
