    Hi all,

I purchased the Acer Aspire 5002WLMI with SIS M760GX integrated graphics card. My problem is I have now realized ive become addicted to World of Warcraft... and my graphics card can't handle it. My question is: is there a way around this problem... i.e. can u purchase another graphics card to jog around the existing integrated chipset? im unsure if this is possible but i wanted to ask.

    Thanks for your help,

    Adam

A select few laptops have this option. The 5002 is not one of them.

The problem to begin with is that 'integrated' is not a card to begin with. It's just what it says: integrated on the motherboard. Nothing you can do.

If you crank down the settings, and change the amount of RAM being allocated to your intergrated graphics. It's playable. You are going to drop fps like crazy in major cities, but you can play.

P.S anyone have an explanation or guide I could view as to how to go into my BIOS and change my "shared" graphics memory without frying my 5002?

    Thanks

Press F2 when you see the inital Acer screen at turn on. When the information screen appears, press the left arrow key once (to select "Main"), press the down key three times (it will say video memory), then use the + or - to increse or decrease the video memory (mines set to 128M). Once thats done, left arrow three times (Exit) and press enter (Exit Saving Changes).

I found I am able to get away with a few games (Starcraft, Warcraft III (800x600, and the details set low), and Scorched3D (disbaled OpenGL)).

Much appreciated. Yea I'm playing WoW and NHL 2005 on it at the moment.

Graphics aren't sexy, but it's playable.
