If you want my opinion on the notebook, I think it is one of the best out there, price/performance, and the amount of features you get with it. The Acer CrystalBrite screen is very nice.

I've had my 5002WMLI now for 3 months. I have upgraded the memory to 2GB but otherwise am very happy about the bang for the buck.

Personally I was hoping that Acer was going to release models based on the MT (lower power consumption) AMD processors versus the ML it now uses. I also wanted to get better (WSXGA & DirectX9) graphics, but there wasn't anything at the time. The 5002 is a little short on resolution for some things I wanted to do, but again, I am very happy about the bang for the buck.
