    Hi, I have the Aspire 5021 and the HD temp when doing a defrag is raising to 140F or 60c (using speedfan) is that normal? I think its to high and i am my concern is that temp would damage the hd and melt system components on the motherboard :( . Is that some great laptop cooler that decrease the temp on a laptop?
    The HD is working even doing nothing dont know which process causing that.
    The fan seems to pitch on and off a little to often.

    HD=burning flame 60c
    what is this temp1-3 values which is the cpu and so on..?
    Temp1:44c
    Temp2:30c
    Temp3:37c

    Thanks in advance

    The HD temp or the CPU? If its the HD, its quite normal, since its under heavy use. But if it exceedes 75+ then thats not right.

    Then its normal. Under idle or small usage, it should be around 38-46 degrees, but under some use, it'll jump to 53~, And if you are defragging, or burning from HD, or any heavy HD-usage, it will jump up to 63~ or so degrees
