    Acer Aspire 5050 (vista) won't shut down

    Hi, I have the above laptop and it won't shut down, you can go through the process, but the light doesn't go out and you can go out come back and it's still on. If you hold the power button down, it will switch off sometimes and then it is off, but obviously the power down process should make this happen. Most times the power light won't go out on holding the button down and I have to take the power out and let the battery go dead to make it switch off, I just love Acer, don't u?! :confused:

    Any help appreciated..
