If somobody can help me I would apprecate it. I'm about to go crazy. I know nothing about computers, so if somebody who does could help I would appreciate it. I have an Acer Aspire 5050 3371 Notebook and it won't turn on. There are two lights on the front of it. They are indicators. One of them is indication of power from the outlet going to the computer and the other is for the battery. The one that registers power from the outlet is lit up, while the one for the battery is not. I have a new battery in it, so I know this is not the problem. It was doing this before the battery was changed, however. Sometimes it will turn on, other times it will not. Can somebody help me?

plug AC back in... (leave battery OUT)

    try to power on

try that and let us know what happens
