My notebook has recently quit charging. I've tried a new battery, and a new adapter. I tried the old battery with the new adapter...the new battery with the new adapter, the new battery with the old adapter. =/ With the new battery, it'll work. But, it still won't charge. So as soon as that battery runs dead....I'm back to not being able to turn it on. What's wrong?! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And if it's something to do with the hardware...do you know about how much it would cost to have it fixed. My stupid warranty just ran out 9 months ago....and I didn't buy an extended one, and now I can't cause it's past the year that I bought it.

Is the adapter being detected at all? if not it could be the power connector in the laptop is broken not sure how much it is to repair it but you can either see if there is a power board for your laptop on ebay and replace it or solder on the connector yourself, both of these options require you to open the laptop so be careful if you decide to.
