    Acer Aspire 5051 AWXMi disk drive problems.

    Hey my disk drive in here is reading DVD's fine but not recognizing any form of CD's. Ive tried commericial CD's ive brought and ones ive write my self but it make a sound like its trying to read it but it doesn't see that its there. The DVD drive model information is: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K17RS. Ive play CD's before on my laptop but after last night it no work!.     Try running sfc.exe /scannow (Start>Run>Sfc.exe /scannow)(press enter)
    Also you can try doing a system restore to before the problem occured to see if it is actually a software issue - You can also clean the lense that is on the drive (lightly)
    Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

    No aint working :S Still not working. Ive done Drive re-install, system restore still no hope.
