Again my Acer laptop does not detect my CD/DVD drive. First time tech support had me wipe out the complete computer. Second time, the guy just had me go into something and change a few numbers around, and it worked fine. Now I do not have it again. My warranty ran out....no more tech support. Please help!!! Thank you!!

is it being seen in device manager ?
have the drivers been dumped/deleted ?
you could try the easy option and scan for new hardware.if theres power getting to the cd/dvd player then the laptop should see it.
