Heey guys.... im new to posting threads and stuff but i have a bit of a problem,

Well basicly my laptop wont let me overclock at all.... i cannot find the clocks of my onboard GPU (Radeon Xpress 1100) and i have a AMD Turion @1.6ghz, Now ive read on other forums that people have got thier cpu's up to 1.8Ghz and their GPU up to about 450Mhz (300 stock) yet whenever i load up CPU-Z or GPU-Z i cannot find any information about my system at all.

Ive even used Systemtool to overclock and it said "Motherboard not Recognized" sooo i couldnt overclock my GPU/CPU because aparently i dont have a motherboard..sooo im out of idea's.

    Hope somebody can help me

    Thanks

To overclock the aspire 5100 people usually use a program called clockgen. It will allow you to raise your CPU as well as GPU frequencies. You can see this thread for further details on how to overclock the 5100 series. Note the PLL number for the acer navarro motherboards is ICS 951462.

As always overclocking can be dangerous so do it at your own risk.

To overclock your GPU you can use a program called powerstrip. It's a trial version only with the only catch being a popup saying you should buy the full version.

Have you tried ATI Tray Tools? As long as you don't disable overclocking when installing it, you should be able to overclock the Xpress 1100. That being said, I wouldn't recommend overclocking the Xpress 1100 as the performance increase will be almost non-existant whereas the extra heat generated is definitely perceptible. You also risk frying your hardware whenever you overclock, but it is your money and computer to do with as you please.

Ahhhh thanks Evolution! i manged to get my cpu/ram speeds to show and actually let me overclock them :D im now at 1.8Ghz i know it isnt alot from 1.6Ghz but its a start lol

And thanks everyone for the GPU overclocking problem, i used a program called winclk in the end, got my core to 400Mhz and it wont let me touch my mem for some reason.

Thanks all! been a great help :)
