I've had this notebook for about two months. What I've noticed is that there are 2 sliders on the front of the notebook. I know one is to disconnect the internet but I don't know what the other one is. What it shows is a greater than sign, then a vertical line with two triangles going to the right.. I can't switch it over and the light doesn't move to the left, but I don't know what this slider is and I'm confused about whether it means something or not. If anyone has one or knows what I'm talking about, help would be appreciated.

Looks like the Bluetooth on/off switch. All acers seem to have this switch even if the system wasnt equipped with one.

if i recall correctly thats the switch for bluetooth; by how you describe the icon i would say it is. I've not seen many 5100's with a bluetooth adaptor though.

I just read about it and yes, it is bluetooth. I was just messing around with these sliders seeing what would happen, but when I switch the bluetooth one over, the light does not move to the left as it is on the right now. How would I know if bluetooth was equipped on my notebook?

That's what I'm saying. Absolutely nothing happens, at all. But I'm not sure if I uninstalled anything, cause I know I uninstalled a lot of the things like epower and elock management. But when I do switch the slider, the light doesn't move over to the side with the icon and nothing happens. I don't even really know what bluetooth is, because I've never really been associated with.

One's for Wi-Fi and the other's for the Bluetooth.

They're both Wireless connections, Wi-Fi is used for internet/LAN connections while Bluetooth is more commenly used to connect devices between each others, like Cellphones.
