Hello guys![]()
I have an Acer Aspire 5100
AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile Technology TL-56, 1.8 GHZ
Radeon Xpress 1100 hyperMemory
1 GB DDr2
It has vista home premium preinstalled. Lately I installed Xp on it (Ive done it many times before because its faster) The only thing is that with Xp it shutsdown after some time, ´cuase of the heat. So I thought I´ll update the BIOS. It went well but then IT shutsdown! I was afraid of this but it happened. Now my Lap won´t boot, nothing comes up, not even a sound! The only thing that work is the dvd driver. The fan goes like it would boot but nothing. I tried to flash it via usb but didn´t read the usb. Ive searched the web for solutions but couldn´t find something useful.
Please can someone tell me what to do, if there is anything??????

I'm afraid that you have destroyed your laptop. I doubt that Acer will fix it as it is your own fault, but try and get them to repair it anyway.

Try Acer and inform them that the BIOS that they released failed. Be persistent. If that does not get you anywhere, contact [email protected] he has the equipment to do this type of stuff. He fixed my Toshiba Sat P205 in a few days. Highly recommended very professional.

Check if there is an emergency flashing procedure for your notebook.
