i own 2 acer aspire: 5000 and 5100. the second one (5100) i am having issues with, that from the get go
i can put it into standby mode when closing lid but not get it out of that state without rebooting laptop. i have flushed BIOS today, that as per acer info on internet. standby mode worked 2 x after that, now it doesn't anymore. :nah:
when i put it into hibernate i get an error message which i think i may have solved/fixed with an xp hotfix package .
however, i really would like to get the standby mode to work properly, better yet, work all together.
does anybody have any suggestions for i am stumped. i tried i think just about everything short of registry fixes if that is an option at all.
    thank you and regards
