    Hi all.

First time poster, long time lurker.

I am having problems installing the ATI chipset drivers on an Acer Aspire 5101 notebook with a fresh install of XP pro.

As soon as XP is installed i install the chipset/video drivers "chipset_ati_v8.251.zip" as downloaded from acer's UK site(The only driver available), I reboot and artifacts appear on the desktop then after a random period of time the screen goes blank followed by a blue screen of death and automatic reboot.

I have re-downloaded the drivers and reinstalled XP but the same thing happens.

The XP disk is fine as it has been used multiple times this week and i am still waiting to gear from acer support.

    Anybody else had this problem?

Many thanks for any help received.
