It gives out a message "please insert disk" when you click on f:.

The usb works on my desktop computer and three other laptops so there is something wrong with this laptop not the usb.

Another usb I have worked on the same port, the usb that doesn't work is one of those cell phone providers offer so you can get online with their stick.

    Help please.

Did you try to contact your Internet service provider if they have some solutions?

Well it's a wierd usb stick that's for sure, it didn't work on my desktop win xp either it worked on win 7. Like he has all the drivers installed but it won't kick start the thing, like it's waiting for autoplay or something.

Now it did work on xp on the desktop computer but it took him awhile, it's a t-mobile usb dongle for connecting to the internet.
