    Hi,

I've got an option to buy a used ThinkPad T41 for 630$ (one more year of warranty, P-M 1.4GHz, 512MB RAM, 40GB HD, CD-RW/DVD, WiFi/BT) including a docking station.

On the other hand the deal for the Acer 5102WLMi on CircuitCity is very interesting - $750 AR, plus $65 for shipping ( link). It's the best deal bang-for-the-buck-wise I've seen.

It's worth to note that this laptop is meant to serve as a home server and computer for my girlfriend who's a very light user - mostly e-mail and word processing.

    What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Shap!

I would recommend the 5102. Read my review, and see if it has what you need. I would stay away from used laptops, mainly because they are used. You don't know what people did to them, and wouldn't the newest computer at a great price make more sense than a used comp?

not recommended since it's got the GMA950 and a dumbed down processor.
