    Hello All,

I recently got this Laptop and So far it worked good until I tried burning a Dual Layer DVD using ImgBurn and Nero. It completes the burning process in Nero but when I put the disk into my DVD Player it doesn't load. With Imgburn, I keep getting a verify fail: Layouts do not match error and I do everything correctly because I burned two successful DL DVD's before with this same laptop. After the first two disks, it seems that the burner thinks it's burning correctly and actually doesn't. When I put the disc back in my laptop, Autorun detects a blank disc. However when I look at the bottom of the disk I see burn tracks. I can burn regular DVD's and CD-ROM discs fine.

Anyone know why this is happening? is it a hardware failure or software problem? I don't know how to update the firmware and from what I've read, there's a 50/50 chance of killing the burner. There seems to be nothing wrong with the drivers in Device Manager. I've looked up and down the net for a solution and I'm at wit's end.

    Here's what I've tried:

1.Cleaning the lens via cd-rom cleaner

2.Using different Media. I've tried Verbatims, Ridata, TDK DL DVD's

3.Praying for the disc to burn properly.lol..I know I'm that desperate to get it to work right.
