Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5253 that I bought about 6 months ago. A couple of weeks ago I started having issues with soundfiles and videos with sound. For example: I open a soundfile by clicking on it or by loading it in whichever media player. If I click stop or pause, nothing happens, but if I close the mediaplayer window, regardless which one I am using, a loud buzzing sound starts. It will continue until I open another soundfile. Same thing happens when I play a video on YouTube: if I leave the page while playing a video, the buzzing starts, till I play another sound file or video with sound.

The sound is heard through speakers, system speakers and headphone, all the same.

I have installed the latest driver, no difference. I have tried multiple mediaplayers: MPC, Winamp, ClearFi. Windows Media Player, Quicktime, they all give the same result.

Acer will not help me under warranty, they refer me to a paid service they offer. I have tried searching the web for similar problems, so I could see what solutions there are, but have found none that are applicable.

Anybody here have any suggestions as to what has caused this and how to solve it. Much appreciated, my knowledge is limited.
