    Please see attached pics, I tried attaching an external monitor, don't see anything on the external but don't know if there are specific keys to press to activate the external?

    Try Fn+F5 one external monitor is connected.
    At least part of it looks to be physical damage.

    LCD panel is shattered- as I said it looks like a physical damage so it needs to be replaced.
