I have just downgraded my friend's 5310 to XP. It all seems to be ok and I have installed all the Acer e-whatever management apps I could find. However I can't find a version of enet management that wil work with the 5310's antheros adaptor. I only have a wired internet connection so I have no idea if the wifi is working without the enet app, Do I need it? I can't find a version online.

Works fine without it, the only Acer software I install on my 5310 is the Launch Manager

Thanks so much, I thought it probably would work. I just couldn't test it to be sure. [I'm not actually running any of the Acer software except Launch Manager as you say, but I wanted to leave it available to the laptop's owner in case they liked using them. They didn't seem necessary to me either.] Thank You.

e-net does not work with atheros chips. it works only with intel chips.
