    Acer Aspire 5315 DEAD!!

    So like a dumb *** i managed to ruin my laptop,i,ve tried to update bios from xp enviroment and it gave me a error like "internal error" or somethig like that,i was on battery so i've pulled out the cord because my laptop freeezed and surprise now nothing heapens when i tryed to power on,now the s..t comes tried all methods that i can possibly can tried the Fn+ESC plus cord and then power button nothing my cd even not spin (i belive i create a good recovery cd because the cd even 1 mm is not spinning) nothing i dont have a usb pen drive or a floppy but i belive that even don't work now the funny part is that wen i plug the LAN cable the 2 leds near the cable are blinking when i am on ac and when i am on battery they blink only when i press the power button so i need hel because it's my girlfriend's laptop and she kills me if she find out

    just wondering why nothing heapens when i fres fn+esc and power buton coz the led on lan is working!!what should be the solution to start my laptop coz it doesent spin at all so how then he could read the cd?maibe in the bad bios the boot option are damaged i realy do not have a clue

    There is triack it might work or it might not. take out the laptop battery and unplug it from the ac hold the power button for 30 seconds then find the Cmos battery on the motherboard unplug it for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. it should clear the bios to rest to the config it was at before. if this dont work let me know and i might able to help you. this is the step i would try first.

    but where is the cmos battery on acer aspire 5315 because i didn't find it!!there is a battery(not sure if it is cmos battery) but its soldered to the motherboard here is a photo of my mobo

    but its soldered to the motherboard,i cant remove it

    the Fn+Esc plus power doesent start the laptop at all nothing,maibe if i remove the hdd an cd-rom will it boot from usb? cause from cd doesent boot nothing nada

    good luck,,

    but if the BIOS is corrupted, it won't boot no matter what you remove...

    if the FN+ESC thing doesn't start the bios recovery (you still wont see anything on the screen even if it is working) then you will most likely have to send the laptop to acer to be repaired under warranty

    no the Fn+esc doesent do anything,the cd-rom doesent spin the usb stick wont light up just the netwotk cable

    just wondering with the fn+esc mode, i press both in the same time pluged the ac and the pressed the power button (still keeping the button pressed) and nothing
    Now my question is should i still keep the buttons pressed even if nothing heapens cause i read somewhere that may even 5 minutes it takes the process but in all cases the fan started mine does'nt start only the network lan cable led!!

    So today i sent my laptop back to shop for warranty,just asking if the warranty cover the dead bios?or is it my fault for trying to install a newer version?coud they find what heapand?

    i m also having exactly same problem

    aint there anyway to initiate bios recovery without a keyboard

    theprophet is ur notebook fixed yet did they fixed ur bios under warranty
