Acer Aspire 5315 Problems

Hi

I reinstalled today my siters Acer 5315 from Vista to XP

Everything works accept The wireless card.

I follow the installation and drivers from this forum but
the drivers will not install for Wifi card.
It says that i need to turn wifi on but its on but windows dont
recognize it

The other problem is that the networkcard inactivates as soon
i log into XP.
The activity icon shows up then dissapear.
When i get into network settings the card is inactivated.
I must activate it again then internet works.

So everytime i restart the card inactive itself.

What is WRONG. Acer is the worst laptop i ever met...

 

Ok several problems here.....

#1. You installed XP over Vista, this is good and fine but there is a sticking point here. You didn't mention where you got your copy of Windows XP, and being that the 5313 series did not come with Windows Vista Business I'm entitled to belive you are installing a coprerate version which is not legit.

#2. It's not Acer's fault that you can't get the wireless NIC working. That is total user error on your behalf, so stop complaining.

#3. As far as the wireless nic not working under XP it looks like you don't have the right drivers for it currently. And because I have no idea what make / model your wireless card is I am needing you to post your HWID's - http://driverpacks.sytes.net/driverpacks/Nightlies/SaveHwids.exe. Please download and run this .exe, and then post the .log file for me to see.

#4. There is always a solution to ever problem, but pointing fingers isn't gonna get the problem fixed.

It was windows vista basic on it but i reinstalled with XP Professional now and its not a copy its original OS its my original XP Professional License

It looks like the XP version of your driver is supported under driverpacks lan.

Here is what you want to do.

#1. Download the networking driverpack from driverpacks.net - http://downloads.driverpacks.net/DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8121.7z

#2. Download the Driver Installation Tool - http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.com/Dp_Wsed/beta/Beta3537.7z when that is downloaded unzip it

#3. Copy the Lan Drivers to the DP folder

#4. Unzip the dpinst.exe and place it in the unzipped drivers folder.

#5. Run the .exe and it should place the new drivers in there for you.

To be more specific (if it helps)

The Broadcom drivers are located in the DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8121\D\L and (B1 - B4) directly.

I think im dumb for this.. I cant install a and dont understand this program

 

I tryed now several times to install the driver. It says only that device is not connected. Maybe i should reinstall Vista again
