Hello everyone. I've been having some issues with my Acer 5315 but wasn't using it so it didn't bother me at the time. Now that I need it, I would like to get it fixed.

The issue started occurring when I installed Windows 7 onto it. Ever since then, the system will hang for around 15 seconds every few minutes. All programs come up Not Responding and the entire system hangs. Can't even bring up Task Manager. The weird thing is, this issue does not occur on Ubuntu. I had it set to dual boot and Ubuntu worked great, but I'd rather use Win 7.

I've tried clean installing several times, and recently formatted the hard drive and loaded up again, so this is not spyware/virus related. I have the BIOS upgraded to v1.43. I also have 3 GB of RAM installed (due to positioning the RAM correctly) and it does pick up on the 3 GB.

Additionally, since the latest clean install, my wireless Internet seems to be sluggish. It will go from being fast to nearly nothing at all in about two minutes. I've updated the wireless card's driver and it didn't help that much. There's no issue with the Internet, another laptop and my desktop have no issue.

Any help that you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
