Hi. Wondering if you could help me.

I've got an Acer Aspire 5315 with the Mobile Intel GMA X3100 in it as standard on the motherboard. Granted this isnt a great card for a lot of (or any) modern games, but I was wondering if it's possible to have another (better) graphics card put in it?.. Maybe a better processor too, because its got a Celeron 550, but the graphics card is priority at the mo.

Your laptop has Intel x3100 integrated video card(IGP) which is NOT upgradable(I have the same). You can upgrade the CPU to Core 2 Duo socket P Merom, this will boost your laptop performance for sure. A good 2-2,4Ghz Core 2 Duo will give you like 10fps more in games.

So I cant replace the graphics card at all then? And there's no room inside it for a seperate one? I'm not much knowledgable on hardware, but I've heard you can get external graphics cards that just plug in, or something like that.

    Thanks for your help dude.

It seems I need to find a better CPU... Any idea how much those that the guy above mentioned will set me back?

    I found a T8300 (2.4 GHz) on eBay for about $200 Canadian.
