    Hey all, basically I have a acer aspire 5410, (apparently the most unknown laptop in the world according to Google searches) and while it is a pretty decent computer, its CPU seriously lets it down. The CPU in question is the Intel Celeron processor 723, which is 1.2GHz. Basically I was wondering if anyone would know if it would be possible (or worthwhile) to upgrade this to a better, faster one.

    I'm not really sure on it due to many conflicting articles and opinions some saying its too difficult and others saying its definately worth doing. If it is possible, i would appreciate it even more if you could give me some possible replacements and maybe some general instructions on how it would be done.

    I myself know very little/nothing at all about computer hardware so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

    I assume it's a thin metal notebook-Aspire Aspire 5410T - the Timeline-looking type, right?
    It has a common BIOS with 5810T so all CPUs supported by 5810T will work with 5410T too.
    Supported CPUs:

    Intel® Core™2 Duo Mobile SU9300 (1.20G)
    Intel® Core™2 Solo SU3500 (1.4G);
    Intel® Core™2 Duo SU9400 (1.4G)

    Here's a benchmark list of CPUs for you to compare.
