Hi, I've been looking very closly at the Sony S Series for a while now, and the infamous Asus W3V, but what cought my eye on this Asus model is the price (better) and the speficiation (better), the only thing I don't like is the design, which I'm sure I'll get over.

Now, does anyone know if this laptop is any good?

15.4" WXGA Widescreen CrystalBrite TFT Screen

What's not to like about it? The specs look very nice. I noticed PC world in USA had the Acer TM8100 as the current top machine. Seems like Acer is being accepted as a quality brand. I guess it depends if you want all the multi-media stuff. I prefer keeping my business computing seperate from my entertainment - don't want things to get screwed up - I have a TV with a stand alone digital video recorder in my office - mainly for UK footie matches!
