hey everyone,
I have owned my Acer Aspire 5532 for almost a year now. I have always had an extremely slow connection on my home network, which I just now realized compared to other laptops on the network is just pitiful. I tested an older HP laptop and my Acer in the same room and my Acer got a DL speed of .7 MBPS whereas the HP was around 9.2 MBPS. Same story with the upload speed. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue? The router is a Belkin N1.

Okay did another speed test

I owned 5532 also and it's work correct. That's kinda wierd how you get less download than upload. Anyway, just incase, are you logon to the same router? My cousin has the same problem until I checked, he was log on to neighbor's free wifi instead of his own.

Really? yeah I am it's my own home network router i'm connected too. What kind of download speeds do you get?

My download varies, but it's pretty good since I replaced my router with G instead of B. Anything I could think of is make sure the antenna is secure snap into the card. Else, just faulty wifi card.

Could you perhaps plug the laptop into the router directly and possibly rule out the wireless connection?

my Ethernet cable port is broken.
