Purchased this notebook about a year ago, runs with Windows 7, and I'm very satisfied with it although the start up time could be a bit faster!

But my main issue that has been there since I purchased the notebook is that the fan (located on the left side of the notebook) is constantly running at a high speed even if the laptop is not hot and I am not doing anything too intense on the computer. It will run like this even if I'm just browsing the web or doing nothing at all!

It does not run constantly, it pulses. Runs fast for a few seconds, goes back to a nice quiet sound for a second or two, and then will go fast again.

Obviously I would like it to act normally so that it doesn't damage itself and also for my own benefit of a quieter laptop.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Some other specs of the laptop:

    AMD Athlon II X2 Processor P 320 (2.1 ghz)
    3GB DDR3 Memory
    6-cell Li-ion battery

    Thank you!
