    Hey everyone,

I've encountered several hardware and performance issues with my
acer laptop model 5562 WXMi and I would like to update my BIOS.

I have gone to this link:
    http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5560.html

And downloaded the BIOS v1.17 version which appears to be
the latest from the following link, provided by acer's website:
    ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_5540/bios/bios%20v1.17.zip

I would like to know that this is what I'm supposed to use and as far
as the instructions go I'm supposed to extract it on my Windows XP
and run the bios.bat file under "normal" windows mode.

Just to be on the safe side - if all fails and I've corrupted my bios
is there a way to get around it by flashing with other versions or
things like that to restore it? What do I do in case of failure?

    Thanks.
