I have an Acer Aspire 5570Z. The Power or charge port is completely broken. When I plug the charger in I don't get a charge, I'm sure its not the battery. I was wondering if there was any other way that I can charge, my laptop other than the AC port, so that this laptop doesn't go to waste. Thank you.

if you can return it , return it and AVOID Acer completely.

there are many many people complaining about this company's con-business.

    http://avoidacer.com/

this is just one site but there are more than a few millions of this kind of sites ............. oh well , I was also a victim of this con-artist recently and swtched over to Lenovo and I am completely satisfied with Lenovo service and qusality cotrol.

if you can return your Acer spend a bit more to get a Thinkapd or Ideapad, do not be tempted by absolutely cheap and eye-catching lappies from this junk producer, you will be the one to cry , there are so many reasons why this brand is so cheap and rated so bad.

No I can't return it and yes I do agree that Acer is pretty bad and I didn't want it to begin with, but my parents got it for me. I have an Apple Macbook now because I can't stand Windows however its a shame that my Aspire is unusable.

Ok about how much would it be to get it fixed. I wasn't planning to get it fixed though. Its not under Warrenty either. I was planning on buying a port replicator or something that I could plug it into my laptop and then plug the charger into the port replicator and have it charge through that or something. Or buy a separate external battery charger so I can charge the battery.

$150 I think is a little too steep for me. I'll just keep it if that is how much it will cost to get it so I can use it. Thanks anyways.
