I have an Acer Aspire 5570Z. The Power or charge port is completely broken. When I plug the charger in I don't get a charge, I'm sure its not the battery. I was wondering if there was any other way that I can charge, my laptop other than the AC port, so that this laptop doesn't go to waste. Thank you.

if you can return it , return it and AVOID Acer completely.
there are many many people complaining about this company's con-business.
http://avoidacer.com/
this is just one site but there are more than a few millions of this kind of sites ............. oh well , I was also a victim of this con-artist recently and swtched over to Lenovo and I am completely satisfied with Lenovo service and qusality cotrol.
if you can return your Acer spend a bit more to get a Thinkapd or Ideapad, do not be tempted by absolutely cheap and eye-catching lappies from this junk producer, you will be the one to cry , there are so many reasons why this brand is so cheap and rated so bad. -
No I can't return it and yes I do agree that Acer is pretty bad and I didn't want it to begin with, but my parents got it for me. I have an Apple Macbook now because I can't stand Windows however its a shame that my Aspire is unusable.

Well if the laptop is in warrenty just get acer fix it no big deal you have anythey notebook
or if out warrenty just take local store and pay get connect resolder or replaced if that only isssue with it
or fix it youself if you know how use solder iron and can take stuff apart just be sure keep crack order you took in and winch screw went where
or just sell laptop to some that willl fix it not big deal to do hour or so take apart resolder the plug or if not replace it but that little more work
and you need source replacment plug Acer Support realy not that bad here canada they pay ship boths ways I don,nt know why alot people complain sure you be with out laptop for bit but it will be fixed
also it not just acer that has issue with power plugs lot other top brand laptops have same issues -
Ok about how much would it be to get it fixed. I wasn't planning to get it fixed though. Its not under Warrenty either. I was planning on buying a port replicator or something that I could plug it into my laptop and then plug the charger into the port replicator and have it charge through that or something. Or buy a separate external battery charger so I can charge the battery.

$150 I think is a little too steep for me. I'll just keep it if that is how much it will cost to get it so I can use it. Thanks anyways.
