    Hello Notebookreview,
i am new to this forum. i own a Acer Aspire 5570z. Recently i have decided to buy new 4.1 speakers[Creative M4500]. i wonder if i could connect these speakers which have two jacks the black[for sub-woofer and stereo] and a green jack[for surround] directly into the laptop because i find 3 audio input ports 1.3.5mm line-in,2. 3.5mm microphone input,3. which i don't know what is it[image attached] and i need your help please, can the green jack be connect to this port? if not what are the other ways to get these speakers work perfectly as they are designed to, other than buying a soundcard.
    Thanks in advance.....

What sound chip does your laptop use?

That I could have guessed- I need to know which exact codec is it.
You probably have a Realtek Sound manager in Control Panel- start it and click "i" in the bottom right corner and check the exact codec there.

It's possible that your laptop uses something like ALC272 in which case you won't be able to use more than two speakers.

Yes- it's is. At least in theory.
I've had a 6 channel codec and it still wouldn't work properly with more than two speakers.
It would be best if you could test it before making a purchase.
