    Hi all,

My friend's Aspire 5580 has the Realtek High Definition audio, and just updated with the latest drivers, but when tries plugging in headphones or speakers into the line out port, no sound comes out. The Realtek icon in the taskbar, however, shows the popup message saying a 'jack has been plugged in'.

Can anyone help us out here?

    Thanks a lot!

I would suggest that he/she uninstall the updated drivers and revert to the older ones. If they worked with them there won't be really difference besides the fact that the headphones don't work on the newer updated set.
